Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026

NIA Analytics LLC ("NIA," "we," "us," or "our") develops NIA Real Estate, a browser extension for researching properties and neighborhoods, and operates related websites and account services. This policy describes how information is processed when you use these services. Product-specific policies may apply to other NIA applications.

Information We Process

Account and authentication information. When you register or sign in, NIA processes information such as your email address, authentication credentials, account identifiers, installation identifiers, and account status. Passwords are used for authentication and are stored by the backend as password hashes with associated verification parameters rather than as readable account passwords.

Property and location information. NIA Real Estate processes property addresses, listing information, geographic coordinates, and related neighborhood details to provide property research and location-based analysis. This information generally concerns properties being researched and does not necessarily represent your current physical location.

Browser-extension information. The extension accesses supported real estate website pages to identify properties and provide relevant analysis. It may process page URLs, property details, research activity, and feature preferences. Certain research information and preferences may be stored locally in your browser.

Subscriptions and billing. When you use paid features, NIA processes subscription status, plan selection, billing-related account identifiers, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and payment-event records. Stripe provides hosted checkout and subscription-management services. Payment details entered into Stripe's hosted services are handled by Stripe under its own privacy practices.

Communications and technical information. When you contact support or interact with NIA services, we may process your messages and technical information needed to respond, operate the service, troubleshoot problems, and maintain security.

How We Use Information

We process information to provide account registration and sign-in, analyze properties and neighborhoods, deliver extension features, manage subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security, and operate and improve our services.

Property Research and Third-Party Data

NIA Real Estate works with supported real estate websites and uses external sources for neighborhood and property intelligence. Depending on the feature, property addresses, coordinates, search terms, or other information necessary to complete a request may be transmitted to NIA's backend or relevant data providers. Sources may include mapping and places services, government datasets, and other property-information providers.

Property and neighborhood information can vary in coverage, accuracy, and freshness. NIA is not affiliated with or endorsed by every third-party website or data source it supports.

Service Providers

NIA uses service providers to operate its website, backend, email communications, and subscription services. These include Cloudflare, Render, Resend, and Stripe. Information is provided to service providers as needed for their respective functions. Third-party websites and services may have their own privacy policies.

Local Browser Storage

The extension may save account-related state, preferences, and property-research information using browser storage. Removing the extension or clearing its storage may remove locally saved information, but does not necessarily delete information stored in NIA's backend or by third-party service providers.

Data Retention

Retention depends on the type of information and its operational, security, billing, and legal purposes. Authentication and verification tokens have expiration controls, but token expiration does not necessarily mean the underlying database record is immediately removed. NIA does not currently publish a universal automatic deletion period for all account or service records.

Some records may need to be retained for billing, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Account Deletion

NIA provides a backend account-deletion process for eligible free accounts. The process requires an authenticated installation, password verification, and explicit deletion confirmation. When successful, it removes the NIA account and associated installation links, API tokens, account-action tokens, and entitlement records covered by that process.

Accounts associated with Stripe customers, subscriptions, or billing-event history require additional review and cannot be automatically deleted through the free-account deletion process. Contact support@niaanalytics.com for assistance with these requests.

Deletion of NIA account records does not necessarily remove information independently held by payment processors or other third parties. Records may also be retained where permitted or required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Choices

You may contact NIA to ask about information associated with your account or request correction or deletion, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements. Additional rights may apply depending on your location. You may also manage certain browser-stored information through your browser's extension and storage controls.

Security

NIA uses authentication controls and other technical measures intended to protect its services and account information. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

NIA Real Estate is not directed to children under 13.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. The updated policy will be posted here with a revised effective date. Additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
